Day 3

Describe a moment or a day when being single was really awesome.

Anytime I have to listen/witness relationship drama, I think in the back of my head how I’m thankful I don’t have that.  I can stretch out in my bed how I like.  Go where I want.  When I want.  There are some advantages to being single, that’s for sure.  But I am also an only child, so I am well versed in entertaining myself.

Day 2

Describe a moment or a day when being single really sucked.

There’s been a couple of instances, but as I look back, I think that it would have been nice for me to have found “the one” before my mother passed.  But then again… I don’t know if “the one” could have handled all that.  My mother was a card!

Another instance would be on stormy nights… loneliness really kicks in.

“How do you respond to “And why are you still single?””

Day 1

How do you respond to “And why are you still single?”

I’m still single because I am trying to build a stronger sense of self so that I can bring more to the table.  I feel that in order for me to be “one” with someone, I need to know that I can stand on my own.  I have many issues personally that I am trying to sort out.  Any distractions from that would possibly get in the way of me truly getting to know myself.   And much to my dismay, yet my happiness, I have a strong sense of independence.  It’s a double edged sword at times.  However, I have yet to meet “the one”.  Yet I’m not rushing it.  I don’t feel an intense need for that at this very moment.  I think a puppy would be better.
